Candice Avery Image Consulting

Whether its during a seasonal transition or year round, many people are faced with the challenge of a disorganized closet.  As a person who changes looks often (sometimes multiple times before I even walk out of the door), this is often my reality—one minute my closet looks pristine and the next it looks like a tornado touched down (*Alexa, play Thinkin Bout You by Frank Ocean).

There are several reasons that closets can be unorganized, but the root of the problem is usually that you simply have too many clothes.  This can lead to style and fit issues due to the lifespan of the pieces. People with cluttered closets also fall into the trap of overspending because they don’t know what pieces they already have—like buying another black dress when you already have 3.

Smart solutions for a disorganized closet is one of our most requested services.  We organize the closet sorting by item, color, season, and/or occasion according to available closet and storage space of the customer.  Additionally, we make two piles—one to “get rid of” which could mean consignment or charitable donation, and a second pile for items that no longer fit.  Finding a good tailor is essential for curbing spending on new items and properly caring for your favorite pieces. At Candice Avery Image Consulting, we use our vetted list of preferred tailors to help our customers find the perfect fit. One of my favorite requests is when a client decides that they want to transition to a capsule wardrobe–we get to collaborate with our clients to get their closets down to the minimum number of pieces to have maximum style impact.

During this time of public health crisis and social distancing, Candice Avery is happy to continue to offer our customer centric virtual styling services including shopping your closet and virtual shopping.  Let us know how we can help you get organized and ready for spring!
